It is refreshing to see a gris that has not had the colour and stuffing knocked out of it by carbon fining. Indeed, this wine is of a bright copper hue, segueing to crunchy red apple, nashi pear, a melody of citrus and ginger notes. The palate is suitably rich and viscous; the wine’s modus operandi, texture. Gentle acidity and a phenolic pucker keeps things on the straight and narrow.
A great drink.
