Howard Park 2012 ‘Museum Release’ Riesling

The Wine: Howard Park ‘Museum Release’ Riesling

The Howard Park Riesling is “A still very bright green-gold and with aromas of lime, quince and toast, this is travelling beautifully under screwcap. And while approachable now with its flavoursome, gently textured and very long palate, there is a fine vein of acidity running throughout the wine meaning that this will still be looking pristine 5 years from now.”

95 points – James Halliday

The Family:

The family owned business started in 1986 with the label Howard Park, its roots deeply imbedded in the Great Southern region of Western Australia. Today Howard Park sources fruit for its iconic wines from family owned vineyards throughout Leston and Allingham vineyards in Margaret River, and Mt Barrow and Abercrombie vineyards in the Great Southern.

Burch Family Wines sends its wines internationally as well as having a great presence in the Australian market. The Abercrombie Cabernet Sauvignon is heralded by Langton Classification as “excellent” and Howard Park Wines is a RED FIVE STAR winery in the James Halliday Wine Companion.

The philosophy of Burch Family Wines is to produce wines of distinctive regional character with an uncompromising commitment to quality, using fruit sourced from the Margaret River and the Great Southern.
